Worship Leader

The following is based on a true story: Music Ministry leader, Michael Brown, is so excited to be a part of the Lord’s awesome plan for Summit Church. Visiting the church in 2001 with his, now wife, Heather Brown and son, Connor, Michael never would have thought he would be leading the music team eight years later. Michael looks to music as his passion, and best way to express his spiritual being. “I absolutely love music, when I’m up there singing with a group of people week after week, I know God has me right where he wants me,” says Michael.
Michael has a theme that a good friend of his taught him to always be: “Real, just be real,” says Michael, “I know how hard it is to sometimes look at people and pour out your heart, but I think when people are spiritually attracted to other people, most of the time, it is the realness and humility in their heart. I’m not saying I’m all “Mr. Humble,” but I think we should all know that no matter who lets you down, who looks at you the wrong way, there is always a loving God that can conquer all and with patience, get you right where he wants you!”
When Michael is not leading worship at Summit, he is an on-air personality for radio station WSSX-Charleston, and a news reporter and anchor for the South Carolina Radio Network. He also enjoys photography, cooking, laughing, and spending a whole bunch of time with Heather, Connor, and the baby in Heather's belly.
